Beau Baron started his ATV Championship defense with a win. He also had two SXS second places.

Beau Baron (USA), the current eight-time World Off-Road Championship Series Champion, started the season big in Lake Havasu, Arizona.

Baron won the Pro ATV race with a time of 1: 11: 47.939, slightly ahead of Mike Sloan (USA) and more than three minutes ahead of Jarrod Mcclure (USA).

Baja Off-Road star Roberto Villalobos (MEX) was in ninth place in the race after being sixth in practice.

But Baron not only had a strong start to the season in ATVs. He also achieved two second places in the “Side By Side”.

In SXS Pro Production he came almost a minute behind Beau Judge (USA) and ahead of Matthew Hancock (USA). In the SXS Pro Stock category he was behind David Haagsma (USA) and ahead of Jessy Nelson (USA) and Justin Covarrubias (USA), who uses a wheelchair.

Torey Matajcich (USA) was the best in the ATV category “A” for Women, ahead of Layne Fryar (USA) and Donna Ellsworth (USA).
