Two Japanese snowboarders went 1-2 at the Halfpipe Snowboard World Cup in Aspen, Colorado, within the men’s competition.

This competition featured the historic Shaun White (USA), who was the penultimate to go down in the third run. He threw 3 double corks with combinations but was just off the podium, in fourth place.

The winner was Yūto Totsuka (JPN), who totaled 91.75 in the first run. Despite having already secured the victory he went to a final descent with very complex combinations.

On the podium he was escorted by Raibu Katayama (JPN) and Andre Hoeflich (DEU).

Before this round Yūto Totsuka won the other date of the World Cup, at the Laax Open (SUI) and in this way secured the Crystal Globe as Champion in the men’s halfpipe.
