Christopher Grotheer won the World Skeleton Championshi again.

The Sportspedia

Christopher Grotheer (DEU) successfully defended his World Skeleton Championship, in Altenberg (DEU).

Despite not having the best season in the World Cup, Grotheer did what it took when it was most important. He was ahead of Alexander Tretyakov (RUS) and Alexander Gassner (DEU), who got into the medals at the last minute.

The big surprise was that Martins Dukurs (LVA), World Cup Champion, had a bad week and only managed to finish 16th, one place ahead of Olympic Champion, Sungbin Yun (KOR).
