Week Preview
The Giro d’Italia now actually moves to Italy, after starting in Hungary.  (NED) 
Mathieu van der Poel leads after three stages. Also in Italy, the ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 Italian Open will conclude. So will the Men’s Superlega Pallavolo in Volleyball.

PBR (Bull Riding) will host its first World Finals. Men’s PBA (Bowling) also holds its Superlega. The NBA (Basketball) should just have four teams alive after this week.

The World’s oldest Football tournament, the FA Cup, will host its 141st edition. Chelsea and Liverpool will face each other, just as they did in the EFL Cup Final, where Liverpool own after 21 penalty kicks. The Bundesliga concludes, with Bayern already securing another title.

It is becoming increasingly common, yet still rare, to see fully unified boxing Champions. This week, Jermell Charlo (USA) will face Brian Carlos Castaño (ARG) again, now for all the Super Welterweight belts, after a thrilling first fight between them, which Charlo won.

IndyCar starts its Month of May activity at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a race at the Indy Road Course. IMSA races in Mid-Ohio, MotoGP at the Bugatti Circuit, and NASCAR in Kansas, among much more motorsports action.

The Men’s Ice Hockey World Championship is set to start in Finland, while the NHL continues its Playoffs.

The Longines Global Champions Tour and Global Champions League arrive to Spain after a great event in Mexico.

Another big week for Triathlon includes the start of the Triathlon and Para Triathlon World Championship Series in Yokohama.

The BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals -Badminton’s National Teams Championship- conclude in Thailand. The country will also see World Title fights in Muay Thai.

Other World Championship events this week are those in Women’s Amateur Boxing, Cerebral Palsy Football, Pétanque, and in some Sailing categories.
