The Tomateros de Culiacán extended the Final Series of the Arco Liga Mexicana del Pacífico after defeating the Naranjeros de Hermosillo 3-4 in the fifth game.

Alexis Wilson (MEX) drove in Culiacán’s first run to go 1-0 up in the second inning.

In the top of the fourth inning Hermosillo turned the game around with three runs. In part they were caused by a couple of errors: one by Michael Wing (MEX), which could have been a double play, and the other by Ramiro Peña (MEX). Luis Alfonso Cruz (MEX) and Álex Robles (MEX) batted in.

Ramiro Peña would redeem his mistake with an RBI single in the 5th inning for 3-2.

The loss of the seventh was very intense. Marcelo Martínez (MEX) went 3-2 against Sebastián Elizalde (MEX) with 14 pitches and two outs and with Jesús Fabela (MEX) in scoring position after a double. Elizalde grounded for the first and scored the hit to propel Fabela and tie the game.

In the top of the 8th Sasagi Sánchez (MEX) left a man in the 3rd and then the Tomateros also did not take advantage of a full house in the low of the 8th.

On the closing of the 9th Wing also redeemed himself. He hit the winning hit that made the series 3-2.

What a great Final is taking place!
