Panama scored first in the second inning with one hit. It was until the 4th that Mexico reacted. Julián León threw a Grand Slam that pushed Efrén Navarro, Jesse Castillo and Víctor Mendoza to put the score 1-4.

In the low of the 6th Santos, from Panama, flew the fence in a loner to bring the score closer.

Peña put the game 5-2 in the top of the seventh by hitting Silva’s ball.

In the top of the eighth Mexico filled the house with two outs. With the maximum count, a deflected shot to first base caused an error and Efrén Navarro entered with the third run for Mexico, after a hit by Chávez. The score was 6-2.

Córdova made it 6-3 with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth.

That would be the last score. Alberto Baldonado, a Panamanian in the Tomateros de Culiacán team, managed to get the ninth inning clean to ensure the victory.
