The Naranjeros de Hermosillo hit first and won the first game of the Final Series of the Arco Liga Mexicana del Pacífico, after defeating the Tomateros de Culiacán 1-2.

Ryan Verdugo (MEX) started and won for Hermosillo. J.C. Ramírez (NIC) started and lost for Culiacán.

The Naranjeros de Hermosillo took advantage in just the first inning, with a run batted in by Yadiel Hernández (CUB) and another by the reinforcement for this final, Víctor Mendoza (MEX).

Norberto Obeso (MEX) had a great catch from left field in the fourth high to support Verdugo.

Gonzalo Sañudo entered in the 7th to relieve J.C. Ramírez, who left without receiving a run. Hermosillo called Robinson Leyer (DOM) to relieve Verdugo starting the 8th inning. He responded well.

Fernando Salas (MEX) was called up in the ninth inning to seal Hermosillo’s victory. Joey Meneses (MEX) hit a ground double. This was the first time a Tomatero got into scoring position.

Efrén Navarro (MEX) hit the first run for Culiacán. But it was the only run for them.
