Patrick Reed (USA) won the PGA Farmers Insurance Open from day one to day four.

Carlos Ortiz (MEX) started the day tied for the lead but made several mistakes on putts today, scoring a bogey from the very first hole and a missed putt that gave him a birdie on the second.

Still halfway through the course, the Mexican still had the possibility of fighting for the victory but a bogey in 11 and a double bogey in 12 relegated him. Then he collapsed: he had three more bogeys for a day of +6 and T26.

The other player who started first, Patrick Reed, did have a consistent day and took the win by shooting four under par, for a total of 14 under par, five shots ahead of the rest.

The rest were five players who tied for second place: Tony Finau (USA), Henrik Norlander (SWE), Ryan Palmer (USA), Xander Schauffele (USA) and Viktor Hovland (NOR).

With this triumph, Reed moves to 10th place in the PGA FedEx Cup, place previously occupied by Ortiz, who fell to 11th.
