Munster dominated against Connacht and take a fair win to lead Pro14's Conference B.

The Sporstpedia

Munster fairly defended their Pro 14 Conference advantage by defeating Connacht, a team that had surprised Leinster last Saturday to end their unbeaten streak.

Munster was able to dominate under damp conditions throughout most of the game, scoring first with a penalty, then a try and then a conversion. Jack Carty’s (IRL) penalty in compensation time was the only score for Connacht during the first half.

The leaders continued to dominate during the second half but Connacht added the spice in the second half with a try by Sullivan (IRL) and its respective conversion by Carty.

Connacht’s Ultan Dillane (IRL) had a very good run during the extra time and they were very close to scoring but Munster barely held them on the line.

With the result, Munster now has an 8-0-1 record to lead Pro14’s Conference B, where they are followed by Connacht, who boast a 5-0-4.
