The Dominican Republic battled severely to defeat Panama and qualify for the 2021 Caribbean Series Final, but they did it, by a score of 4-3.

Campos (PAN) and Martinez (DOM) performed well, not accepting runs for 5 full innings. In the sixth, the Dominican went ahead first, with two runs in the sixth.

Panama scored two in the seventh and then a hit from southpaw Abad and a flop in center field allowed them to go up 3-2 in the ninth inning.

But Panama would not achieve victory. Sinaloan pitcher Walter Silva (MEX) took a hit from the experienced Paulino (DOM) in his first at-bat and gave the Dominican Republic the victory with two outs.

Tomorrow the Dominicans will play the final against the winner of the semifinal between Mexico and Puerto Rico.
