Varda takes the Starlet Stakes (G1) in Los Alamitos while Princess Noor was pulled.

It was a win for Varda (USA), mounted by Drayden Van Dyke (USA). Princess Noor (USA) started right outside of her. Kalypso (USA) took the early lead by just over a length over Princess Noor, who then took the lead from the outside in the final last corner but as she was taking the final stretch she was pulled, leaving Kalypso to lead again. Varda pushed powerfully from the outside and took the lead to take this Grade 1.
Reports indicate that Princess Noor -who was fifth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies also with Víctor Espinoza (MEX) riding her- was x-rayed and the result was clean, but she has an inflammation.
