Emiliano Grillo (ARG) had another solid day at the PGA Tour’s Mayakoba Golf Classic with a round of three under par, but his lead is of only one stroke unlike yesterday’s two, so nothing is set.

Particularly Justin Thomas (USA) -the best World Ranked player this weekend- had the best round of the week with a score of 62 (-9) that put him -12, four behind Grillo (-16). It was a great round and another one like today’s tomorrow can give him the win. He is tied for fifth at the moment.

Tom Hoge (USA) has looked solid all week long and he had his best day today, scoring six under par without making mistakes on potential birdies, as he would have other times this week. He only had one bogey, in the 10th. He is now just one stroke behind Grillo. He is followed by Viktor Hovland (NOR, -14) and Adam Long (USA, -13) in third and fourth place, respectively. Both had a great round of -8 today.

Both Mexican players that are still alive had good rounds. Carlos Ortiz (MEX) and Joaquín Niemann (CHI) scored -4 and are -10, tied for 11th place. It looks difficult for any of them to win but they can have a very good result tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Abraham Ancer (MEX) had a round of -6 that puts him -9 for T15. He started the day very strong with three birdies and he conceded zero bogeys.

Tomorrow’s round will be pulled an hour early since there is a possibility of thunderstorm.
