Palmeiras beat Santos 1-0 and won the Copa Libertadores, so next week they will face the winner of the match between the UANL Tigres and Ulsan Hyundai.
In the first half there were a lot of kicks. The game was the beginning, a “come and go” at the beginning but without excellent football.
The second half was also intense and with many fouls. Both teams were neutralized and there were few scoring opportunities.
It was already compensation time and when it seemed that there would be extra time that a row arose because the Santos Manager delayed in returning the ball.
Palmeiras scored the winning goal in the 99th and last originally planned minute in compensation. Breno Henrique Vasconcelos Lopes (BRA) got up to give a header in an arrival of Palmeiras on Santos.
In total the second half had 15 minutes of compensation.
The match at the Maracaná was not excellent but Palmeiras should not be ruled out in the Club World Cup, as they only lost one match in the entire tournament
