With AC Milan yet to play, some of the top six teams were involved in matches with wide scoring margins.

Napoli is still fourth in Serie A thanks to their win of 4-1 over Cagliari. They had a series of three complicated matches where they were only rescue one point but that changed today.

Piotr Zieliński (POL) was he main scorer of the match, netting the ball at 25′ and 62′, right after João Pedro (BRA) had tied at 60′.

The fourth goal was a penalty by Lorenzo Insigne (ITA) at 86′ due to a hand-ball by Fabrizio Caligara (ITA).

Although Napoli won, Roma is tentatively third in Serie A due to their triumph against Sampdoria, with a goal by Edin Džeko (BIH) at 72′. Roma has two pints of advantage over Napoli but with one more match.

The team that is right behind in fifth, Sassuolo, suffered a wide 1-5 loss in the hands of the sixth place, Atalanta, who had an Italian feast and won 5-0.

In another wide score, Inter won 6-2 over last-placed Crotone, with three goals by Lautaro Martínez (ARG). Inter now has 36 puntos and leads by two over AC Milan, who play this afternoon against Benevento and could recover the first place.

In the lower positions of the table, Torino won an important match 2-0 over their closest rival in the table, Parma, to enter become 17th and tentatively save them from relegation to Serie B. Spezia would now be tentatively relegated, since they lost to Verona 0-1. Genoa and Crotone are the other teams that would be relegated at the moment.
