The Ligue 1 put the three top teams in the table to play at the same time and it was exciting to follow all of the games at the same time because the overall positions would change a few times.
Lille started the day as the leader but Angers would score twice to send them to third on the table, since at the same time Lyon was beating Lens 1-0 and St.-Étienne was drawing 1-1 to Paris Saint-Germain.
The scores would change but not the results. Lyon beat Lens 3-2 and is now first with 39 points. PSG remained 1-1 and is second, with 36, same number as Lille, that lost 1-2.
Rennes is a bit lower, with 32, but the fight is very intense with only two Champions League tickets available. Is the winning rhythm over for Lille?
Earlier, Rennes, fourth, drew 0-0 against Nantes, in a visit. Also fifth-placed Mónaco beat 2-5 Lorient, and Strasbourg, 16th, beat 5-0 Nîmes, last on the table.
